What do the terms ‘internationalization’ and ‘localization’ mean, and how are they related?

Internationalisation services are the designing of a product in a way that it meets the needs of users in various countries and also can be adapted. It also means designing a website where the translation processes of various languages from English or vice versa, it creates enough space for the characters on the specific pages. Internationalisation is a short form known as ‘i18n, where 18 is the number of letters between I and n in English words.

Economically, internationalization increases the footprints of a company or the clients’ base which tries to take a step outside the country and into international markets. This helps the global corporate to push the world economy into a state of globalization, where economies around the world are interconnected through cross-border trade. Economic internationalization leads to product internationalization as the products sold by multinational companies are often used in multiple countries. To specify the main impacts of internationalisation;

1. It designs and develops the growth of the companies’ enrichment by removing the barriers to localization or international development. This enables the company in various codes, strings and proper handling of encoding.

2. It provides sufficient support to featured localization, by adding or removing essential languages, texts or even characters.

4. It separates the essential localization portion from a certain source so that it can alternatively be loaded or removed for the convenience of international needs.
